第5章 湫袋駅行き電車内での誘惑

　「Does that mean Brayton is there too?（ということはブレイトンもいるのか？）」
　ブレイトンの姿も探した丸井ですが、カークが首を横に振ります。


　「He's not there.（あいつならいないよ）I stayed with the other children at Kinza Station.（金座駅で他の子どもたちと残ってる）」


　「I see.（そっかぁ）」


　「The child over there got on this train by mistake.（そっちにいる子どもが間違ってこの電車に乗っちまったんだ）I panicked and chased after you.（オレは慌てて追って来たってところだ）」
　カークが話し終えたあと、木手が口を開きます。


　「If you get off at the next station and change trains, you can return to Kinza Station.（次の駅で降りて電車を乗り換えれば金座駅まで戻れますよ）」


　「I know, but this is a boy who loves trains.（分かってはいるが、こいつは電車大好き少年だ）I don't know if you'll get off with me at the next station.（次の駅で一緒に降りてくれるかどうか分からない）」
